Rebuilding in Telegraph Cove is moving forward, and it is encouraging to see the steady progress happening along the historic boardwalk! Construction crews have been working hard throughout the winter to restore areas affected by the 2024 fire, and new structures are beginning to take shape once again.
The pub and restaurant roofs were raised, and key infrastructure like electrical and plumbing work started to be installed as rebuilding continues. Doors and windows are to be installed next, and we are excited to see this building nearing completion. Our office and the Whale Interpretive Centre are scheduled to start very soon. We are thrilled to see the community come together and rebuild!
For those of us who operate and explore from this special place, seeing the Cove come back to life is incredibly meaningful. Telegraph Cove has long been a gateway to wildlife adventures and coastal exploration on northern Vancouver Island. As the rebuild continues, the community is looking forward to welcoming visitors back and sharing the same incredible ocean experiences that make this region so unique.
